We see the Napa Aquatic and Recreation Facility as a central gathering place for the community. It is a space where wellness, recreation, and connection intersect, and where people feel a true sense of belonging.
At COAR Design Group, we approach projects like this with a focus on people first, designing environments that are inclusive, welcoming, and adaptable to a wide spectrum of activities and experiences. From aquatics to fitness, programming, and social spaces, every element is thoughtfully considered to create a place where individuals and families alike feel comfortable, connected, and part of something larger.
Our goal is to deliver a facility that feels distinctly Napa, inviting and enduring, and designed to enrich daily life while fostering community pride and a lasting sense of belonging for residents of all ages.

On November 15, 2025, the Santa Rosa Fire Department officially reopened Fire Station No. 5, marking a powerful milestone in the city’s long road to recovery after the 2017 Tubbs Fire. The original station, barely a year old at the time, burned down the very night the fire swept through Santa Rosa neighborhoods, leaving firefighters without a home and a community without a symbol of safety.
A sea of red swimsuit-clad, bike riding kids is the telltale sign that summer has started in Newport Beach, CA. The iconic color is the official uniform of the Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard Program, and undoubtedly the stamp of a decade’s old city tradition. Biking along the coast, running across the sand, and diving into the waves, these junior lifeguards are in training. They’ll spend seven weeks of the summer building ocean swimming skills, learning beach safety awareness, and understanding the role of ocean lifeguards.
